Projects
Write-ups of things I've built: what they do, how, and what was hard.
- Home lab: self-hosted, LAN-only infrastructure
A self-hosted home lab on Arch Linux: one compose project per service, a single CLI for stacks, secrets and routes, and nothing exposed to the internet.
- ErxStudio: a personal AI daemon
A local-first AI daemon and desktop app that hosts GGUF models in-process with llama.cpp, runs tool-using agents, and serves one HTTP API to every other front end.
- Head Venture: a management sim on a colony-sim engine
A Godot management sim where every person on the site is simulated minute by minute, and every venture, rule and look comes from swappable data packs.
- qtile desktop: a tiling window manager in Python
A modular qtile configuration in Python with a live hub menu, picture-in-picture, wallpaper-driven theming across apps and safeguards that keep the desktop usable when a reload fails.
- tts-chapters: multi-voice audiobook pipeline
A Python pipeline that turns a novel chapter into narrated audio, attributing each line of dialogue to a speaker and giving every character its own voice.
- Mythic Keep: a data-driven colony sim
A RimWorld- and Dwarf Fortress-style colony sim in Godot, built around a data-defined body model, LOD tick staggering and field physics over active sets.
- Eusocial: a biology-grounded colony sim
A Godot and C# colony sim where a superorganism emerges from fixed-threshold workers reading an eight-channel pheromone field, with the simulation kept engine-free and tested.
- ErixMekx: robot cooling systems
A modular thermal-regulation system for artificial species: survival built around heat and pressure instead of hunger.
